Dude, you look quite spectacular. It's almost like looking at a crisp 12 year old Joel with a full beard, and an abundance of "product" in his hair. Mucho Gusto.
The traditions and customs down there seem amazing, the faux-KKK gathering (had to take a 15-take), looks harsh at first glance, but I'm sure it's no biggie down there.
We can send you some Fibercon, or some All Bran to "solidify" things if necessary. You know the Taint Boyz got your back.

Hey, Joel, definitely great pictures, all. aside from your literary genius, you have a great eye - a man of many talents, as we have known all along! Have been enjoying your blogs, and sympathizing not only with the heat and such, but the "in your face"-ness of everything. On one hand, it's refreshing to have people be open enough to say what they think, on the other hand, you wonder if they ever consider the impact of their words on others. Candor and discretion do not seem to be valued attributes... I guess you could look at it as a free form of intense psychoanalysis - the kind that throws everything in your face that could ever make you uncomfortable, embarrassed, nervous or defensive. strips you down to your essential self and forces you (if you want to survive) to let go of defensiveness about anything and everything. Or not. I could be completely off on that one... at any rate, que vayas con Dios, (the one who dwells in the heart and sees past religion, ethnicity, size, hairstyle, etc) love you! kathi
you look great,but there are some critiques I have on your new look. ( and yes i know its bad when i am critiquing someones style) anyway i am sad to see the nice and neat chin strap has lost its place on your face and you have started to pray towards mecca five times a day.
Also you are in the tropics and everyone seems to be wearing long pants. just a couple comments.
I'm glad to see your happy and you seem to be enjoying yourself down there.
